I use several different programs to paint your photo. All strokes are my own using a Wacom tablet as are the colors, mixing, choice of brushes, backgrounds and more. The photo serves as a base, everything else is my own artistic choice and execution.

What Is Digital Painting? Is it a real oil painting?
Digital painting is a relatively new artform. Using technology, it allows for photos to take on the appearance of an oil painting. It is NOT done with real life paint and brushes. These features are similated in the software. When the artist is finsihed, the file is downloaded and then printed.
My studio has contacts with professional print labs. Together we will decide which is the best medium. Usually, fine art paper or canvas are the best options for displaing your photography painting. There are many types of papers and canvases, and I will guide you through the process of selecting the most appropriate one for you.

How It Works: Making Your Photo Into A Digital Oil Painting
- Email me the photo you want turned into a painting. I will asses it to see if it is a good candidate. And if it is not, I will decide what changes I need to make.
- I will adapt the photo as needed and prepare it for digital painting.
- Using Photoshop and other software programs for digital painting, I will create your painting.
- I will send you 2 updates along the way. You can offer input.
- Painting itself takes about 2 to 3 weeks.
- Once completed, the image goes to print. This takes about another week.
