Why Families Choose Panos Productions
Experience Matters When You're Photographing People
I have been photographing families professionally for more than 12 years and have photographed more than 350 newborn sessions.
That experience matters for reasons that have very little to do with pressing a shutter.
Babies do not always sleep. Toddlers do not always cooperate. Parents sometimes feel uncomfortable in front of a camera. Children can need time to warm up. A pose that looks beautiful on one person may not flatter another.
My job is to recognize those things and adjust.
Your session is not built around expecting everyone to behave perfectly. It is built around knowing what to do when they don't.
Professional Credentials
I am a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) and have pursued specialized education in newborn photography, newborn care, posing, lighting, and portrait artistry.
Professional photography has also been my second career working with children. Before becoming a photographer, I spent many years as a special education teacher.
That combination of photographic training and extensive experience with babies and children influences the way I approach every session.
You Don't Need to Know How to Pose
Most of my clients are not models, and I don't expect them to be.
I guide you through positioning, posture, hands, expression, and where to look. I make adjustments based on your body, your family, your clothing, and the photograph we're creating.
During maternity and Mommy & Me sessions, that may mean determining which poses and camera angles are most flattering. During newborn sessions, it means safely positioning your baby while guiding parents and siblings into the photograph. With older babies and children, it often means abandoning the original plan for a moment and working with what the child gives us.
Knowing when to change direction is part of the experience you're paying for.
Portraits Are Created, Not Simply Taken
My photography is intentionally designed.
I use professional studio lighting, posing, styling, backgrounds, and detailed post-production to create polished portraits with a painterly, finished quality.
If you are looking primarily for candid, documentary photographs of everyday life, my style may not be the best match.
If you want carefully composed portraits with professional lighting, direction, and detailed finishing, that is the work I specialize in.
What Does Your Photography Investment Include?
A portrait session involves considerably more than the time spent in front of the camera.
Depending on the type of session and collection you choose, your experience may include:
Planning and preparation
Guidance on timing, clothing, styling, and preparing for your session. If appropriate, you can come to my studio for a fitting to see what gowns I have you can use for your session.
Professional studio lighting
Lighting is designed around the portrait rather than leaving the finished result to whatever light happens to be available.
Posing and direction
You are guided throughout the session. You do not need to know how to pose yourself or your family.
Studio wardrobe, props, wraps, and backgrounds
Many sessions include access to items from my studio collection so you do not have to purchase everything specifically for your photographs.
Experience working with babies and children
Sessions are adjusted for feeding, soothing, breaks, changing moods, shy children, active toddlers, and the unexpected.
Professional retouching
Your selected photographs are individually edited and finished.
Digital photographs and heirloom options
Collections vary, with options ranging from smaller digital portrait collections to larger collections with professionally designed albums.
Maternity Photography
Studio Maternity Portraits
Maternity sessions are designed around the mother first.
Rather than spending an entire session creating one look, we can create different styles within the same experience, including more traditional portraiture, painterly images, fabric draping, bare-belly portraits, and cleaner contemporary looks.
Partners and children can also be included.
I guide you through posing throughout the session and make adjustments according to your body, pregnancy, comfort, and the style of portrait we're creating.

Newborn Photography
A Session Built Around Your Baby
Newborn sessions are never completely predictable.
Some babies sleep. Some remain awake. Some need to eat frequently. Some settle immediately and others need considerably more time.
After more than 350 newborn sessions, I don't expect your baby to follow a photography schedule.
I plan the photography around your baby.
My newborn studio includes wraps, props, backgrounds, lighting, and other resources needed to create the session. Depending on the collection you choose, sessions may include wrapped portraits, posed newborn photography, parents, siblings, and family portraits.
